March 3, 2022 - KPM Analytics’ Process Sensors brand for IR temperature measurement is pleased to introduce the latest addition to its unparalleled selection of non-contact infrared temperature sensors, the model PSC-4LT. The versatile, miniature IR sensing head boasts a high ambient temperature rating (up to 356°F) and additional features, including the ability to measure the temperature of conveyed materials exiting industrial dryers or ovens without taking up excessive space in the production line. These materials include paper, plastics, coated metal, ceramics, sand, glass, aggregate, as well as liquids and powders.
Drying ovens offer a fast and efficient way to remove water and solvents from webs, glass, coatings, and other materials. The heating elements are highly controlled, often with multiple heat zones. Non-contact infrared pyrometers allow manufacturers to accurately monitor conditions and make manufacturing process adjustments as needed, but can be challenging to integrate into a production line on account of their footprint. With the PSC-4LT, operators can continuously monitor product temperature and keep their production throughput at an optimal level with the help of a small, compact sensor technology.
Industrial manufacturing, OEM machine builders, R&D, and medical users can easily integrate the PSC-4LT sensor into pre-existing measuring and controlling systems, set-up alarm notifications, and customize the software settings. The menu display is generously sized, provides a bright display of the measured temperature, and allows full and simple configuration of the IR sensor
Compact and rugged, the sensor has a full range of unique companion accessories that enable accurate non-contact temperature measurement of inaccessible or moving objects in hot environments accurately and consistently.
