Celera Motion Provides Robust and Precise Angle Measurement Over Multiple Revolutions

Highly tolerant to mounting eccentricity, Celera Motion's non-contact Multiturn IncOder is easy to install and enables precise and reliable absolute angle measurement. Proven in harsh environments, it is a true "fit-and-forget" device. A robust absolute inductive encoder with non-volatile turn count storage, the sensor offers up to 21 bits single turn resolution and 12 bits multiturn resolution (8 bits for SSI options) and is available as part of the Midi IncOder and Midi Ultra IncOder range.

Multiturn IncOders measure absolute angle position within a single turn as well as monitor the number of revolutions. Turn count is always retained, even during “loss of power” events.

Designed for more compact and lightweight systems, Multiturn IncOder is a low-profile ring encoder with a large through-hole. Unlike traditional multiturn encoders the gearless design is wear free and does not require a battery backup supply.

Multiturn IncOder is suited for applications where motion exceeds one turn, such as rotary-to-linear motion and geared rotary systems. It is proven in harsh environments and applications including robot joints, servo motors, cartesian robots, wind turbines, and antenna masts.

Multiturn IncOder integrates easily with Everest and Capitan servo drives and can be direct mounted without special couplings or high tolerance. Multiturn IncOder can be selected by choosing one of the protocols: SSI31, SSI32, BIS31, SPI31 ASI31 or ASI32.
