HARTING releases Han F+B series of connector

April 1, 2019 --- HARTING has developed the Han F+B series. The series’ design is intended to provide strong resistance to detergents, functionality in the temperature range of -40 to +125° C, and to prevent the build-up of dirt.

Accordingly, round shapes as well as smooth surfaces and transitions were chosen. An interface for food production must also be resistant to the water jets used to clean equipment (IP6K9K). Han F+B meets these requirements.. Special grip knobs on the housing components ensure secure handling even in humid environments. If machine downtime occurs, users no longer need to open a cable gland on the control cabinet to decouple field devices.

For secure identification, the connectors are blue. The housings can be used with hybrid contact inserts for data, signals and power. This makes it possible to optimally configure future-proof machine design for processing units, including Ethernet. The maximum power is 16 A/500 V. An adapter permits users to integrate inserts of the Han 3A size: the bandwidth ranges from RJ45 interfaces via signal inserts with a maximum of 21 pins up to power contacts for currents of 40 A.
