January 8, 2020 - Vecow announced the release of the RMS-1000 Series, 1U Rackmount fanless In-vehicle Computer System. Powered by 8th Gen Intel Core U-series processor (Whiskey Lake) and featuring interfaces and industrial-grade reliability, Vecow RMS-1000 Series aims at In-vehicle/railway-oriented applications including ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System), In-vehicle Surveillance, Fleet Management, Traffic Control, and Passenger Infotainment System, and AIoT/Industry 4.0 applications.
Vecow RMS-1000 Series is powered by 8th Gen Intel Core i7/i5/i3 processor which delivers a performance boost of up to 40% over 7th Gen Intel Core U-series processor while providing lower power at 15W TDP. Featuring single-side front I/O interfaces including 8 GigE LAN, 4 USB 3.1 Gen 2 (10G), 2 serial, and dual display (DP+DVI), Vecow RMS-1000 Series supports data transfer for UHD video content with 4K resolution and digital data from cameras; thereby making it suited for passenger infotainment system and In-vehicle surveillance applications. To keep a moving vehicle connected, RMS-1000 Series provides Mini PCIe slot that allows to support 5G/WiFi/4G/3G/LTE/GPRS/UMTS connections by a SIM card slot.
Vecow RMS-1000 Series is 1U rackmount computing system and comes with integrated front I/O interface design. With x-coded M12 lockable connectors and EN50155 compliance, RMS-1000 Series provides communication in harsh environments. Another feature is to support 16V to 160V input with 500V surge protection, allowing devices to prevent from overvoltage and keep them stable.
