February 28, 2017 - Axiomtek introduced the PICO312, a palm-sized fanless pico-ITX motherboard built with the latest 14 nm quad-core Intel Pentium processor N4200 or dual-core Celeron processor N3350 (Apollo Lake SoC). One 204-pin DDR3L-1867 SO-DIMM socket supports system memory up to 8GB. The 2.5” pico-ITX embedded board features Intel Gen9 graphics engine bringing a visual experience with dual display configurations through one LVDS and choice of one VGA or HDMI. In addition, it was designed for special needs of fanless operation under temperature from -20°C to +60°C. Its size also suits the PICO312 to various space-constrained embedded applications. This embedded SBC is designed for any media editing, imaging, graphics and video intensive applications popular in industrial IoT field.   The PICO312 comes with advanced connectivity including one USB 2.0 port, one Gigabit Ethernet (built-in Intel Ethernet controller i211AT), and one SATA-600 interface. To ensure operation, the Pico-ITX 2.5-inch motherboard also utilizes advantages of Watchdog Timer to detect and recover from computer malfunctions; and that of hardware to monitor temperature, voltage, fan speed, and more. Moreover, the I2C connector is available as a communication protocol to connect Axiomtek’s different battery solutions with AXView - Axiomtek’s intelligent remote management software - to monitor battery status.
