August 12, 2015 - Conta-Clip adds ABS and polycarbonate enclosures in 15 sizes ranging from 84 x 82 x 55 mm to 302 x 232 x 110 mm.
ABS enclosures feature high resistance to seawater as well as UV stability and resistance to chemicals. They conform to flammability class HB (UL 94) and provide IP66/IP67 protection. The shock-resistant housings are suitable for temperatures ranging from -25 to +40 °C.
CG-PC type housings are suited for applications requiring even higher shock and temperature resistance: glass-fiber reinforced polycarbonate housings conform to the same protection class as CG series boxes, but are suitable for temperatures ranging from -35 °C to +80 °C and conform to shock resistance class IK 08 and flammability class V-2.
Both series can be optionally fitted with opaque polystyrene covers or transparent polycarbonate covers. Both types feature protected labeling indentations and can be fastened via quick locks. Another new housing series is the CK-PC line equipped with metric knockouts, which are specifically optimized for photovoltaic applications. Conta-Clip offers mounting rails of electro-galvanized steel in TS 15 and TS 35 sizes as well as mounting plates. To ensure quick installation and to facilitate cable entry, housings have various threaded holes and with metric knockouts on request. Further accessories include wall brackets for wall mounting and a great variety of cable gland systems. The enclosures are available in gray.
