August 7, 2014 - DFI introduces 3 Mini-ITX embedded motherboards powered by the 4th generation Intel Core processor family - HM100-HM86, HM101-HM86, and HM103-HM86. Built on 22-nanometer process technology, the three models not only offer higher processing performance but also bring evolutionary improvements in system memory and I/O interfaces. Meanwhile, its excellent onboard graphics feature 4 display ports: including 1 HDMI, 1 DVI-I, 1 LVDS, and 1 DP, allowing a user to choose the best combination to suit multi-display needs nowadays.
To improve overall system performance, the HM86-based boards are designed with two 204-pin DDR3L SODIMM sockets that support up to 16GB. Though small in size, the Mini-ITX boards still provide rich I/O connectivity and wide bandwidth data transmission, including 2 Gigabit LAN, 2 COM, 8 USB, 2 SATA, 1 LPC connector for additional COM/Parallel ports, and 4-bit input and 4-bit output GPIO for device controls. The expansion design of these motherboards offer additional capabilities: 1 PCIe x16 for superior graphics cards and 1 Mini PCIe slot that supports USB and PCIe signals, mSATA, and half size Mini PCIe card.
DFI developed a re-driver SN75DP130 chip-based module board, EXT-DP, to bring DP interface into effective DP port. Furthermore, in order to provide more options to customers, the three models are packed with different power connectors: HM100-HM86 with 1 24-pin ATX, HM101-HM86 with 1 12V DC-in (default) or 1 4-pin power (optional), and HM103-HM86 with 19~24V DC-in.
