September 25, 2014 - NEXCOM released fanless computer NISE 3720 series to build industrial IoT for data-driven decision making. Featuring 4th generation Intel Core i7-4650U processor, the NISE 3720 series supports communication across automation protocols, data-intensive analysis, and effective information delivery. Targeted at big SCADA applications, the NISE 3720 series also provides high integration capability to connect multiple factories. With the Intel Core i7 processor, the NISE 3720 series features high performance computing and control capability required of parallel computing, multimedia handling, and multi-screen display. Further, it can monitor factory activities by consolidating real-time data and live videos and can provide valuable insights into operation improvement to help increase factory productivity and virtual presence. As communication interfaces and fieldbus protocols differ from factory to factory, the fanless computer NISE 3720 series is equipped with a set of I/Os and supports fieldbus networking--including PROFIBUS, PROFINET, DeviceNet,EtherNet/IP, and EtherCAT--and internet connectivity through modular expansion. For use in SCADA applications, the NISE 3720 series can not only monitor and control PLCs and remote I/Os across factories, for instance, but also interoperate with business clouds. In addition, the NISE 3720 series is designed with a free remote management tool, Xcare 3.0, to simplify remote monitoring, configuration, backup, and restore of the fanless computer series. To respond to environmental challenges in factories, the NISE 3720 series follows fanless design, has a compact rugged aluminum enclosure, and supports an extended temperature range from -20 to 60°C to ensure smooth daily operations. The fanless computer NISE 3720 series includes four models—the NISE 3720E with one PCIe slot, the NISE 3720E2 with two PCIe slots, the NISE 3720P2 with two PCI slots, and the NISE 3720P2E with one PCI and one PCIe slots.
