October 28, 2013 - Conta-Clip releases ZRKS series of feed-through terminals and the ZSLS line of PE terminals. ZRKS and ZSLS models feature 2, 3, or 4 connections, with 1, 2, or 4 of those connections designed to receive a ZST plug. Based on a versatile modular design, the ZRKS system allows users to pre-wire machines and control cabinets.
The safe-to-touch components can be plugged in and disconnected without any tools, thereby facilitating the connection or exchange of prefabricated functional units. The modular connection system consists of ZST plugs, ZSTK couplings, and the ZRKS feed-through terminals and ZSLS PE terminals The stainless steel tension springs and the corrosion-free alloy of the contact material ensure safe contacting that resists even extreme vibrations. The connection system is designed for a rated current of 24 A, a rated voltage of 500 V, and a wire cross-section of up to 4 mm².
ZSTK couplings are available for installation on TS 15 or TS 35 DIN rails, or as flying leads. The terminals enable vibration-proof installation without any screws by simply snapping them onto the mounting rail. Made from polyamide PA6.6, the housings withstand temperatures between -40°C and +120°C. They offer a creepage resistance of CTI 600 and are categorized as flammability class V0 according to UL.
Conta-Clip provides a wide range of accessories for the connection system, such as locking latches that can be snapped in to secure the pluggable connection. Moreover, a snap-in strain relief increases the stability of the connected wires e.g. in mobile applications. Potentials can be quickly and easily distributed with the pluggable ZQI cross-connection system. Test plugs and test adapters that can be assembled to any pole count by means of locking pegs enable direct measurements at the bus bar of the respective terminal as well as quick and safe tests of assembled terminal blocks. Last but not least, Conta-Clip provides a coding system for the clear labeling of couplings and plugs that ensures reverse polarity protection.
