October 23, 2013 - Fujitsu Technology Solutions released D3231-S industrial mainboard with the Intel Q87 Express chipset. The D3231-S supports the latest Intel Core processors i7/i5/i3 with LGA1150 up to 95 watts and dual-channel DDR3 1600/1333 SDRAM memory up to 32 GB. Intel HD graphics with DirectX 11.1 can be supported depending on the processor. This makes the mainboard particularly suitable for demanding applications in industrial image processing.
D3231-S is designed for 24/7 continuous operation in an extended temperature range of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius. Long-lived components and a rugged tin coating of the circuit boards make the D3231-S particularly robust and resistant. Its EMI compatibility and burst resistance, both tested in the manufacturer’s own Product Compliance Center at the Fujitsu plant in Augsburg, Germany, live up to industrial standards. Thanks to this, the board not only ensures fail-safe operation of critical applications in harsh industrial manufacturing environments, for example if used in machine tools or robot control systems. All boards in the new family come with standardised drivers. This gives integrators a high degree of flexibility for negotiating the demands and budgets of their various customers. The basic layout of the ATX and μATX boards in the new family is largely identical. Connectors such as RAM, SATA, internal USB, etc. are located in exactly the same places throughout, which ensures interchangeability within the family. Furthermore, the design offers the highest possible degree of consistency with the layout of the D307x-S platform that preceded it. This makes it easy for users to change the platform while keeping the chassis. All four boards are based on the same I/O layout. The recommended retail price for the D3231-S is approximately 199 € including VAT.
