HARTING releases PushPull Signal connector

October 18, 2013 – HARTING released the 10-pole PushPull Signal connectorfor delivery of analog, low voltage and bus signals in all power ranges. PushPull Signal has 10 contacts to transmit rated currents of 5A with conductor wiring gauges of AWG 24 to AWG 18, and is IP65/67 rated for deployment in temperatures of -40º to 70º C (-40º to 158º F). Contact inserts are screened to ensure full EMC interference protection. The connector locks with a click for fast, reliable connections. The PushPull lineup is available in many profiles and to suit a wide variety of signal, power or communication demands. There are models for power and data (RJ45, USB, Fiber Optics) as well as a hybrid for combining up to 5A of power and data in a single unit. PushPull connectors are available in two small sizes in both metal and plastic, for installation in machines, plants or for connecting distributed devices. The small size (IEC 61076-3-106, Variant 4) complies with the requirement for generic cabling. The larger size (IEC/PAS 61076-3-117 Variant 14) follows PROFINET guidelines widely used in plant automation. The modularity of HARTING PushPull connectors allows the user to fit different contact inserts even when the exterior dimensions are identical. All models are designed for simple and swift commissioning in the field without special tools to minimize installation times. For example, PushPull RJ45 offers inserts for Cat.5 and Cat.6e in two different termination styles, with tool-less IDC contacts or piercing contacts.
