February 8, 2013 - Habey USA introduces EMB-4500, a Freescale i.MX6 processor based board. This board is currently available as a standalone, or can be shipped in an OPS module (BIS-6332B) or small form factor fanless chassis (BIS-6332A).
This power efficient implementation of the ARM Cortex-A9 is able to run full 1080p HD video up to three independent displays via its HDMI and LVDS ports. These systems offer up to 2GB of RAM and 8GB on its iNAND embedded flash drives. They also will run Android 4.0 natively.
The trio features a host of functional and useful features such as Dual HDMI ports, 5 COM ports, 6 USB ports with two in the rear and four via pin header, 16-big GPIO, mini-usb, micro SD slot and also a dual CAN bus for vehicle integration. The I/O will vary slightly based on the configuration and enclosure selected, but it will retain all functionality and specs. Having a system with as many features as this allows you to use it for a number of different applications ranging from advanced human to machine interfaces, data acquisition, point of sale, vehicle telematics, digital signage, industrial automation, banking, building controls and connected appliances.
