HARTING adds RJ45 coupler to har-port interfaces

March 1, 2013 - HARTING expanded its har-port line of service interfaces with RJ45 couplers with patch cables already fitted. Users no longer need a separate socket or patch cables with their RJ45 coupler. These compact and robust, fully shielded interfaces are available with cable lengths ranging from 0.2 to 5 metres and are designed for 1/10 Gbit Ethernet and match transmission category Cat. 6/Class EA. The har-port product range makes control units and industrial computer interfaces accessible from the outside. With their elegant look, they even can be used for high-grade workstations. Assembly of the har-port panel is user friendly, requiring just one central fastening nut in a standardized circular 22 mm panel cutout, which is also used for all industrial switches. The har-port lineup now includes service interfaces for RJ45 and USB 2.0 A-A and 3.0 A-A, each in coupler versions or in the case of RJ45 and USB 2.0, versions with fitted cables. These are complemented by an extensive range of accessories like protective and sealing covers and name plates, giving the user all the conventional interfaces required in switch cabinets, machines and other applications for easy access from the outside.
