November 21, 2012 – HARTING releases Han-Fast Lock circuit board connector makes it possible to join Han connectors to a circuit board without additional components or the need to solder connections. That, in turn, allows PCB manufacturers to connect up to 60 A to a board in a fast, flexible, cost-effective and user-friendly manner that optimizes board space usage while minimizing production and device costs.
Han-Fast Lock makes it easy to create electrical contacts in a compact, flexible and easy way. The PCB has one drilled hole and a pad. The inner surface of the plated, drilled contact hole serves as the interface. The Han-Fast Lock is simply inserted into the contact hole. The locking pin is pushed in, locking the contact into position. Only one contact point is needed to make the connection. This solder-free connection technique is easy to perform. Maintenance is simplied because of the ease with which the contact can be detached. Han-Fast Lock also supports SMD assembly of the PCB.
Manufacturers now have access to a pre-assembled system solution, for example, a Han connector with pre-connected wires to the Han-Fast Lock. This allows for a pre-tested system with a circuit board connector. The Han-Fast Lock takes up to a 10 mm 2/7 AWG wire.
The Han-Fast Lock makes circuit board production easy.
