February 7, 2013 – Industrial Video and Control (IVC) announced the CZ-3041-1 crane monitoring system. This Class I Division 1-certified product provides high quality color video to crane operators that are working in areas where hazardous gases or liquids may be present.
The CZ-3041-1 camera is mounted to an adjustable rotational clutch mechanism that will dampen the affects of a moving crane and work to keep the camera pointed to the object of interest. Additionally, the assembly includes special shock mounts to limit the affects of vibration as the crane operates. This initial crane monitoring system includes a non-glare color monitor and push-button controls for the operator to zoom and focus the fixed camera. IVC is a manufacturer of IP-based cameras and developer of advanced software for managing networks of video systems. “Our industrial customers are constantly looking for ways to increase operational awareness and improve site safety." stated Bill Richards, IVC’s Vice President of Engineering. “Many of our customers use indoor and/or outdoor cranes. This new crane monitoring system is the first in a family that will allow operators to work more safely and efficiently.”
