Sabisu releases Sabisu Publisher for Excel spreadsheets

May 1, 2013 - Sabisu released Sabisu Publisher, which allows the rapid integration, approval and dissemination of existing MS Office assets. It provides a very fast, very low risk, very low cost option for creating standardized, automated reporting using existing Excel spreadsheets. The Sabisu Publisher connects seamlessly to Sabisu’s Cloud and On-Premise services to allow users to create KPI dashboards from Excel reports and share them with team members. Once shared to a Community dashboard, the Sabisu Publisher will automatically update the data whenever a change is made in the spreadsheet ensuring everyone stays up to date.

Whilst organisations rely on Excel spreadsheets for key reports, it can be a huge challenge keeping everyone up to date with the latest information. The Sabisu platform addresses this in two ways.

Firstly, Sabisu helps people to organise their data around “Communities” related to areas of interest like energy management, CO2 emissions or site improvement initiatives. This ensures users see relevant data. Secondly, Sabisu will automatically update spreadsheets and dashboards unattended. Never again will people be left looking at out of date reports; everyone will have one, incontrovertible version of the truth. Responding to requirements flagged by foundation customers, Sabisu also implements an approval mechanism, as Ben Widdowson explains, “It’s really important that data is credible and appropriate for the target audience.”

Following a private Beta with with household name oil majors and petrochemical manufacturers, the Sabisu Pubisher has just launched to the public and Sabisu has promised that Automation.com readers who download the tool will be among the first to get access.

The Sabisu team believes the Sabisu Publisher, which launched in private beta last year, responds to an untapped need to manage what is actually a critical company resource.

Tim Sharpe, CEO/MD says, “Excel is often the only place users can bring together data from different sources to get the climate change, EHSS and other reports that regulators require. It’s the de facto standard for end-user data processing. It’s ubiquitous and valuable.”
