Promess Announces REMAP Assembly Presses

September 30, 2012 – Promess announced REMAP Rotational Electro-Mechanical Assembly Presses intended for assembly and test systems that require both linear and rotary motion. Available in 15 standard configurations ranging from 1kN to 30kN and torque loads from 20Nm to 200Nm, the Promess REMAP integrates servo-controlled linear and rotary motions into a single compact unit with built-in sensors for force, torque, position and angle and the ability to control both motions independently and simultaneously. The REMAP simplifies the design of assembly and test systems by giving the user an integrated, programmable system that provides both motions with built-in sensor feedback. Typical REMAP applications include bearing preload, seal insertion, and self-actuating torque testing and a broad range of similar tasks requiring a precisely controlled combination of linear and rotary motion. Fieldbus options include EtherNet I/P, Profibus, Profinet, DeviceNet and ModBus TCP.
