RAFI releases RAFIX 22 FS+ pushbuttons

September 11, 2012 - RAFI releases RAFIX 22 FS+ pushbuttons.  The low mounting depth of the devices enables extremely compact casing solutions. The functional spectrum of the actuators covers all areas of use – and ranges from illuminable push-buttons with a protruding or flat baffle and selection/key/mushroom-type push-button switches to various “Emergency Stop” pushbuttons. Signal indicators, potentiometer actuators, and robust USB feed-throughs are likewise part of the RAFIX FS 22+ product line.

The great degree of variability in the product line affords control panel designers a maximum of freedom: based on round or square coil shapes and compatible front rings – in various colors and with different surfaces – they can realize individual designs with a high recognition value. All actuation components have at least the protection rating IP65 – and are therefore suitable for virtually any application. RAFIX 22 FS+ offers a choice of lighting technologies: 3-mm THT LEDs as well as SMT LEDs can be used for the homogeneous illumination of control components.

The lamps are placed on the base PCB along with PCB contact blocks which are available with gold contacts for low voltages (5 to 35 V) – or with silver contacts for mains voltages of up to 250 V. The PCB contact blocks feature a system installation depth of merely 9.2 mm behind the front of the casing – and can be combined with further electronic components and short-travel keyswitches on a shared PCB.

For applications where a wired solution is more efficient, the QC variants from the RAFIX 22 FS+ series offer numerous assembly-related advantages in comparison to standard control components. With a space requirement of merely 27 mm behind the casing front, they are simply snapped into the actuator without the aid of tools. The stable connection resists shock and vibration. In addition, the simple plug-and-socket design principle allows for the pre-assembly of cable looms with QC contact blocks.
