Servotronix Introduces HD Series Servo System

October 3, 2012 - Servotronix Motion Control introduced HD Series servo system, featuring a high-performance digital servo drive (CDHD) with a high-precision AC servo motor (MTHD). The combined servo drive and motor are optimized for best performance, offering advanced functionality, high power density, and seamless commissioning in a cost-effective package. HD Series incorporates a current loop design that achieves a frequency response of up to 3 kHz, and an Auto-Tuning function that performs optimal configurations and minimizes position error and settling time to almost zero. In addition, an active non-linear Anti-Vibration algorithm eliminates vibration in highly flexible resonant systems. HD Series comes with user-friendly ServoStudio GUI software, which includes a setup wizard for simple and effortless drive-motor configuration within minutes. Advanced current, position and velocity loops can be easily tuned through ServoStudio, and enable optimized control to any electromechanical system. Additional features include STO (Safe-Torque-Off), 16 bit analog input, Fault Relay, secondary feedback, encoder simulation, adaptive Feed Forward feature, PWM manipulation and more. Connectivity to controller is through analog command, Pulse&Direction, CANopen, and EtherCAT. Upcoming connectivity is through PROFINET. The combination of the reliable MTHD motors and the CDHD digital drive amplifier meets virtually any kind of application with torque from 0.16 N-m to 28 N-m, max speed of 6,000 RPM, and motor power rating of 50 W to 4.5 kW. Input voltage can be 120/240 VAC, single or three phase, to 400/480V three phase.
