RAFI adds 19" touchscreen to GLASSCAPE monitor

December 9, 2011 – RAFI added a 19" touchscree to its GLASSCAPE  touch control systems. The screen has a resolution of eleven bits, is multitouch capable and supports Windows 7 touch features such as multitouch and gesture control. GLASSCAPE control units feature a wide range of benefits including an optimum combination of display and control, an intuitive operation, freedom from wear and hygiene suitability. The units are resistant to mechanical or chemical stress because it uses a capacitive technology where sensor films are attached to the back of the glass surface. Surface contamination with dust, perspiration or humidity does not impair the units’ functionality.

The sophisticated sensor system even allows for the operation with gloves. Particularly in the food and pharmaceutical sectors, touchscreens provide special benefits for parameter input and system control: jointless interfaces enabling simple cleaning meet the highest hygiene requirements, not even frequent use of aggressive cleansers causes the labeling to fade. The GLASSCAPE touchscreen can be installed in portrait or landscape format according to requirements and type of application.
