Axiomtek introduces SHB212 Atom-based CPU Card

April 12, 2011 - Axiomtek announced SHB212, a PICMG 1.3 half-size CPU card, with the low-power Intel Atom processor D525 dual core 1.8GHz, D425 single core 1.80 GHz, and N455 single core 1.66 GHz. One DDR3 667/800MHz SO-DIMM onboard implements up to 4GB of system memory. Dual-display support is provided through a VGA port and 18-bit single channel LVDS interface. It also comes complete with several I/O like USB 2.0, COM, Gigabit Ethernet, and HD audio. Additionally, the SHB212 only requires +12V DC power input. The advantages of low-power consumption and compact size make this platform well suited for many space-limited and thermally constrained embedded applications, such as DVR, digital security surveillance, visual inspection instruments, and video server. Other onboard I/O features include two COM ports (1 x RS-232 & 1 x RS-232/422/485), Dual Gigabit LANs, HD audio, and CompactFlash. With LPC I/O integrated, the SHB212 provides reliable operation and non-stop capability by watchdog timer, as well as SMART FAN feature which controls the fan speed to keep the temperature in a specified range. Additionally, Windows Vista, Windows XP embedded, and Linux are all supported. The SHB212 CPU card is RoHS compliant. Advanced Features
