March 17, 2011 - VariTrans A 21000 P0 from Knick is an extremely compact standard signal transmitter with three-port isolation in a space-saving 6 mm housing. Calibrated range selection makes time-consuming parameter setting and adjusting unnecessary. The signal isolator has an integrated universal power supply for international use, and can be operated with 24-110 V DC supply voltages as well as 110-230 V AC.
Although the mod-ular housing is only 6 mm wide, the VariTrans amplifier meets the high requirements regarding personnel and plant safety with protective separation according to EN 61140 with a maximum operating voltage of 300 V. The test voltage is 2.5 kV AC. The VariTrans A 21000 P0 with protective separation and a universal power supply can be fitted into a 6 mm housing because it emits very little heat. Since the devices do not require ventilation space when rail-mounted, control cabinets can be packed very densely. The low self-heating also leads to an extremely long life span. The average mean time between fail-ures (MTBF) is 280 years. Knick provides a five-year warranty for the VariTrans A 21000 P0.
