January 31, 2010 - Ethernet Direct announces a series of Industrial Power over Ethernet switches featuring the new technology IEEE 802.3at known as high power PoE.The IEEE 802.3at PoE standard also refer to "POE+" was ratified September 11, 2009 and Ethernet Direct takes a lead in announcing new Industrial devices providing up to 25W of power per port. The Cobra Series HP high power switches provides 25 watts of power per port and can be used to power IEEE802.3af and IEEE802.3at compliant powered devices (PD) by CAT5 cables and eliminates the need for additional power wiring. All products come in compact slim design with a relay output for an event alarm. It offers 48VDC redundant power inputs design and is secured with power polarity reverse protection and overload protection.
