September 17, 2009 - Protek Power announces the PM100 Series, a high efficiency, high power density, open frame AC/DC power supply. Designed and safety approved for commercial applications, the compact 2” x 4” PM100 Series provides 100W of power at convection cooling, making them ideal for designs where space is at a premium and there is little or no airflow. Full power is provided up to 50°C, with derated power from 50°C to 70°C.Single outputs, ranging from 5VDC to 48VDC, are provided from a 90-132VAC or 180-264VAC autoranging input. Leakage current is specified at 150uA maximum, at 264VAC. No minimum load is required for start up or to maintain listed specifications.Efficiency is up to 90%, the units achieve a MTBF of 270,000 hours, and are RoHS compliant. Overvoltage and overcurrent protection are standard. Worldwide safety approvals are completed to both EN60950-1 and medical EN60601-1 standards. The PM100 Series meets EN55011 and EN55022 Class B for radiated and conducted EMI.Standard models are priced starting at $35.95 in OEM quantity, with delivery from stock to 8 weeks ARO. In addition, Protek Power can design a modified or custom power supply to meet specific OEM requirements.
