AutomationDirect Stepping Motors in NEMA sizes 17, 23 and 34 now include bi-polar models

New Addition to Motors Include Bi-Polar modelsStepping motors in standard NEMA sizes 17, 23 and 34 now include bi-polar models with output torques ranging from 61 oz-in to 1291 oz-in. The motors feature a pigtail cable with locking connector for easy hook-up and 200 steps per revolution. The stepping motors are CE compliant. Nine high torque bipolar stepper motors to choose from.Motor Features:

  • 2-phase bipolar, 4-lead
  • 1.8° per step, 200 steps per revolution
  • Standard NEMA frame sizes (17, 23 & 34)
  • Locking connectors for easy hookup (MTR and MTRH motors have different connectors)
  • Square frame step motor style produces high torque
New Additions to Stepper Drives Two new Advanced Programmable SureStep Drives offer more functionality and higher current capability. Software-selectable resolution up to 51,200 steps per revolution provide smoother, more accurate motion and power capability up to 10A per phase. These new drives accept step and direction, CW/CCW pulse inputs, A/B quadrature inputs, 12 bit analog (analog velocity mode); other features include a discrete speed command (oscillator mode), a joystick mode, and a built-in indexer. The drives come with a serial cable for setup and programming and the SureStep Pro Software, also available as a free download.Drives Features:
  • Advanced Stepper Drives
  • Max 5A, 48V and max 10A, 80V models
  • Software configurable
  • Programmable microsteps
  • Internal indexer (via ASCII commands)
  • Idle current reduction, Self test feature
  • Anti-resonance, Torque ripple smoothing
  • Step, analog, & serial communication inputs
Expanded Line of Power SuppliesThree additional power supplies are now offered to augment the existing 32 volt SureStep power supply. These unregulated linear power supplies offer full load outputs of 48 VDC/5A, 48 VDC/10A, and 70 VDC/5A. Less expensive than regulated supplies, they are perfectly suited to power SureStep stepper drives and stepper motors.Power Supply Features:
  • 120/240 VAC selectable input
  • 32V, 48V, 70V DC output models available
  • All models have additional 5VDC, 500 mA regulated logic supply
  • Fusing included for both incoming AC and outgoing DC
  • 5V supply has electronic overload protection
