August 3, 2009 - Ethernet Direct announces a hardware tool especially designed for Industrial Managed switches for flexibility and easy configuration anytime and anywhere.The ED-Key is an easy-to-use, plug-and-play hardware tool for Ethernet Direct managed switches. It connects to a managed switch via its RS-232 console port for users to save and load setup configurations to the managed switch via the embedded web server. When using the ED-Key, users can quickly re-install system configurations to the switch and recover the entire system configuration as well, including IP address in case of switch failure. It comes in two models: ED-Key-RJ45 with RJ-45 connector and ED-Key-M12 with M12 connector.Features
