Kirchner SOFT GmbH makers of the logi.CAD IEC 61131-3 software extended the product with the a new application, logi.CED (Cause-and-Effect-Designer). The logi.CED cause-and-effect product implements the matrix method that is used in plant engineering to show concisely when switching operations in a PLC program are executed. In modern plant engineering switching operations are becoming more complex as PLC programs and security systems grow steadily. As a consequence, accidental switching errors can cause enormous damage and result in production downtimes. The logi.CED offers a smart and easy-to-use engineering tool for cause-and-effect tables to analyze logic before it is deployed in the field.
