Mettler Toledo introduces M400 conductivity transmitter

April 27, 2009 - The M400 transmitter series features advanced ISM technology and covers pH/ORP, pH ISFET, oxygen, dissolved carbon dioxide and conductivity measurements. With the launch of a dedicated M400 Type 1 version for inductive conductivity measurement the series is extended. Thanks to the mixed-mode input functionality, the M400 accepts conventional (analog) inductive conductivity sensors or ISM sensors for pH/ORP, hence highly versatile. Combined with its multi-parameter capabilities, the M400 is the state-of-the-art transmitter for most demanding applications. The new transmitter enables enhanced measurement accuracy thanks to the extended options for temperature compensation and implemented chemical concentration curves. Compatibility with third-party inductive sensors eases replacement of transmitters in existing plants. Moreover, METTLER TOLEDO Process Analytic’s M400 Type 1 Cond Ind transmitter features in combination with ISM sensors advanced diagnostics for sensor troubleshooting:

  • The Dynamic Lifetime Indicator (DLI) tells when the sensor needs to be replaced
  • The Adaptive Calibration Timer (ACT) monitors the time to next calibration
  • Traceability support thanks to built-in CIP/SIP counter and calibration historyWith predictive diagnostics, maintenance becomes simplified, schedulable and more efficient, especially vital in the pharmaceutical, chemical and food & beverage industries. The Plug and Measure feature allows the system to be ready for measurement within seconds thus minimizes maintenance costs. Key benefits at a glance:
  • More flexibility
  • Versatility
  • Higher reliability
  • Minimized maintenance costs
