Aaxeon releases PCI Express serial cards

August 8, 2008 - Aaxeon released PCI Express Serial Cards. The PCIe Serial Cards are designed for PCs, thin clients, or servers to provide instant COM port expansion via PCI Express Bus. Using PCI Express provides a scalable, high-speed, serial I/O bus that maintains backwards compatibility with PCI applications and drivers. Its architecture defines a high-performance, point-to-point, scalable, serial bus at speeds of 250 Mb/sec. to 4 Gb/sec.The PCIe cards are fully Plug-and-Play compatible and have no IRQ and I/O address conflict problems. The new PCIe cards also feature Serial Power over Pin-9. This feature allows peripherals like scanners and card readers to be used without the need of an external power supply.Features include:
