Autodesk introduces free Inventor Plastic CAD software

August. 14, 2008 - Autodesk announced Inventor Plastic that significantly simplifies the design of plastic products by allowing designers and engineers to automatically create thin-walled plastic parts and features such as grills, rests, bosses, snaps, lips, grooves and fillets.In combination with Autodesk industrial design products and recently acquired PlassoTech advanced product simulation technology and Moldflow injection molding simulation technology, the Inventor Plastic Features Technology Preview further strengthens the Autodesk solution for Digital Prototyping in all markets where plastic parts are required.For a limited time the Inventor Plastic Features Technology Preview is available for free from Autodesk Labs.
