Moxa announces wireless AWK-3121 AP/Bridge/Client

October 21, 2008 - Moxa Wireless released the AWK-3121, a 3-in-1 industrial wireless AP/Bridge/Client. The new AWK-3121 will support more IEEE 802.11 standards and higher security levels, including wireless communication in the 5 GHz bandwidth. Moxa’s AWK-3121 is also WPA2-enabled and highly secure for wireless networks that use Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) technology. Attractive features include redundant DC power inputs, Power-over-Ethernet, RS-232 console management support, 2 digital inputs and 1 relay output, and a wide temperature range from -40 to 75°C.The convenience of being able to connect devices without the use of wires has led to the unprecedented success of wireless technologies in the commercial sector and these same technologies are beginning to appear in various industrial environments. In addition, the AWK-3121 comes with DIN-rail or wall mounting, a fan-less design, dual 12 to 48 VDC power inputs, Power-over-Ethernet (PoE), and an IP30 case with LED indicators.
