Parker releases enclosure for Series 204 and 304 solenoid valves

November 12, 2008 — Parker Fluid Control released a grommet coil enclosure for its Series 204 and 304 solenoid valve lines. The Class F grommet enclosure is part of a conventional coil construction, which includes a taped, wrapped coil, and two-wire 18” leads. Overall, the construction is rated to withstand 155ºC, a standard 100% Continuous Duty Rating. The 204 and 304 Series is a family of direct-acting solenoid valves for air and liquid (including light oil) applications. These small yet powerful valves meet virtually all of today’s commercial, industrial, mobile, instrumentation and medical market needs. Economy models are available for less demanding applications. The 204 and 304 Series also offer tab and integrated coils. The interchangeable tab coil offers AC and DC coils for flexible production possibilities, and the integrated coil features a rotating conduit hub for easy installation. These patent-pending coils are rated NEMA 4X for outdoor use. Additionally, the 204 and 304 Series offers high-temperature, watertight coil designs to meet the most demanding environmental conditions. The encapsulated watertight design is available as a modular coil or a fully assembled valve. The Series 204 (two-way) and the Series 304 (three-way) are available as normally closed and normally open valves. Maximized flow rates are delivered through orifice sizes ranging from 1/32” to 5/32”. Additionally, the valve line is manufactured with 1/8” port size (NPT) connections. All 204 and 304 coils have been evaluated by Underwriters Laboratories at elevated temperatures, and have complied with the European RoHS (Restrictions of Hazardous Substances) Directive 2002/95/EC.With annual sales exceeding $10 billion, Parker Hannifin is the world's leading diversified manufacturer of motion and control technologies and systems, providing precision-engineered solutions for a wide variety of commercial, mobile, industrial and aerospace markets.
