Ametek announces MAE HS series hybrid stepper motors

July 28, 2008 - MAE HS Series hybrid stepper motors provide high-performance solutions optimized for microstep operation. Their superior torque characteristics and low ratios of detent torque to holding torque contribute fine positioning capability and promote smooth and quiet performance. Rugged construction imparts higher reliability and longer service life.MAE “HS Series” hybrid stepper motors are offered in three standard NEMA frame sizes (17, 23, and 34) with step resolutions of 1.8º (200 steps per rev) in full-step mode. Motor lengths range from 1.614” to 5.591” and holding torques (bipolar) from 71 oz-in to 1416 oz-in can be achieved, depending on model.All incorporate precision-honed stators and ground rotors for tight air gap and improved performance; high-temperature grade neodymium iron-bore magnets; and single- or double-ended shaft extensions. Motor rotation can run clockwise or counterclockwise.
