June 13, 2007 - Hoffman Estates, IL –The compact SERCOS III Block I/O Digital device from Bosch Rexroth’s Electric Drives and Controls division has 16 fast digital inputs and 16 combined fast inputs or outputs. Each single channel can be used both as input or output. The function of the particular I/O channel is only defined by the connected actuator or sensor, allowing SERCOS III Block I/O Digital to adjust to the individual requirements of the particular application. The SERCOS III Block I/O Analog has four inputs and two outputs, each of which can be configured individually. The four inputs allow differential registration of analog current and/or voltage signals or the detection of temperature signals from resistance thermometers (also called resistance temperature detectors, RTDs). The two outputs permit connection of current or voltage actuators. With their 16-bit resolution, the differential current and voltage inputs provide high accuracy. In connection with fast process data operation, SERCOS III Block I/O Analog is particularly suited for applications in the technical testing and regulating fields. The small size of the SERCOS III Block I/O housing in IP20 degree of protection allows installation in small terminal boxes or in switch cabinets. Bosch Rexroth AG, part of the Bosch Group, achieved sales of approximately $6.2 billion (4.9 billion Euro) in 2006 with over 29,800 employees.
