Ethernet Direct releases JME-24F2 managed Ethernet switch

Taipei, Taiwan, August 20, 2007 – Ethernet Direct introduces a stackable workgroup switch to cater the requirement in Industrial network applications such as the control room to offer a reliable connection to the backbone network.The growth of Ethernet devices on the plant floor requires a high density and high performance uplink ports to ensure that data will feed up from the production up to the SCADA and Enterprise systems, while Application Servers will provide distributed information down to coordinate automation systems. Enabling VLAN control ensures accurate and secure communication. Multicast messages and Peer-to-Peer synchronization will generate additional traffic as more real time applications are run over Ethernet.Ethernet Direct offers managed switches which have 24 ports of 10/100TX with 2 SFP (Small Form-Factor Pluggable) that will allow you to mix both Single-Mode or Multi-Mode fiber.
