optek AF26 ColorimeterGERMANTOWN, WI – June 18, 2007. Optek’s AF26 is a dual-channel absorption sensor designed to automate manual processes and offer increased control of inline applications to assure product quality, maximize yield, minimize product loss, detect contaminants or prevent excessive discharge to waste treatment facilities. It precisely measures color and/or concentrations using light at wavelengths of 380 to 1100 nm. The AF26 is constructed of SS 316 Ti and can accommodate sanitary CIP/SIP applications to extremely high-pressures (up to 325 bar), high process temperatures (up to 464 °F) meeting all hazardous area classifications. The optical windows are made of single crystal sapphire and provide superior resistance to all abrasive and corrosive media. The AF26 accepts NIST-traceable validation accessories that guarantee reliable and repeatable measurements. Common applications include CIP, Chemical Concentration, Chlorine / Chlorine Dioxide Concentration Measurement, Water Disinfection, and more.Applications include chemical concentration in solutions (Cl2, ClO2, H2O2, ozone, permanganate, acids, etc.); trace hydrocarbons and aromatics (BTX) in water; free water in refined fuels/hydrocarbons; ASTM/Saybolt/APHA color measurements; turbidity and suspended solids measurements, and more. For over 20 years, optek has focused on the development and support of high-performance in-line photometric analyzers for industrial liquid and gas-processing applications. optek has developed a complete line of photometric measuring systems that are installed in some of the roughest process conditions, in plants all over the world. For more information on the highest precision and quality process photometry for use in plants today, stop by optek’s booth, 1600, at the ISA Expo.
