June 27, 2007 - The 3B23, 4B23, and 4BKR series of media separated solenoid valves from Spartan Scientific create a contamination barrier to control the flow of ultra pure or corrosive materials. These valves are perfect for medical device applications that require media separation such as dialysis machines, instrument cleaning devices and dental irrigation equipment. In these direct acting, two- way, two- position dry operator valves the media is isolated from the working components of the valve. The material remains untainted by the metals in the operator and at the same time, the moving parts of the valve are protected from the effects of particulates and aggressive chemicals. A rolling diaphragm wont allow chemicals to gather or dead spots to form which might hinder flow. The 4BKR valve features a low volume valve cavity and a quick connect interface, allowing it to be mounted in a gang style on a manifold block. The 4B23 features two body ports for easy fluid connection and has a wide variety of flow and operating ranges enabling it to accommodate a variety of applications. The 4B23 and 4BKR are available in normally open or normally closed configurations. The 3B23 can provide flow rates up to 1.5 gpm and has orifice sizes from 0.6 mm to 2.0 mm in a normally closed configuration. All valves have pressure ratings up to 150 psi depending on the orifice size. These media separated valves are extremely cost effective featuring long-life solenoids which incorporate a fully encapsulated coil with a stainless steel plunger and tube assembly. All Spartan Scientific products are manufactured to ISO 9001:2000 with design specifications to the highest quality standards.
