Schaefer enhances 1KVA Rackmount Pure Sine Wave Inverter

November 8, 2006 - Ashland, MA – Schaefer, Inc. has enhanced its AEP-1000R pure sine wave inverter with a -30°C to +60°C wide operating temperature range, making it an ideal choice for even the most extreme mobile, industrial, marine or military environments. The AEP-1000R Series is a 1U high, extremely efficient and reliable 1KVA rackmount pure sine wave inverter, which delivers “clean” output power for powering sensitive loads and for improving AC equipment performance. The AEP-1000R Series is available in three standard input configurations of 12VDC, 24VDC and the less frequently found 48VDC. Outputs are available in 115 or 230VAC (50/60Hz) versions, which are regulated to ±3% or better. A built-in, 4-6ms automatic bypass switch allows for redundant operation from utility power if the DC supply drops out. All models in the AEP-1000R Series feature comprehensive protection circuitry and a digital display to monitor/indicate low input voltage, short circuit, input overvoltage, over temperature, overload and low battery. The display also indicates voltage, amperage, power and temperature. Efficiency is 86 - 92%, depending upon the model selected. EMI is minimized for reduced impact on other sensitive equipment. The slim size of 16.06” x 19.00” x 1.73” (d x w x h) fits easily into 1U racks. Schaefer’s full family of pure sine wave inverters also includes stand alone modules starting at 700W of power, along with higher power 3-in-1 units that include a UPS and battery charger. Modifications to standard units are available. In addition, Schaefer can design and manufacture fully custom solutions.
