Advantech Launches Ultra Low Voltage Intel Celeron 650 MHz Board

(Cincinnati , Ohio – 05/17/2006) - Advantech introduces the MIC-3316 3U CompactPCI controller, a fanless alternative low power solution. The MIC-3316 has an ultra low power on-board Celeron processor at 650 MHz which can deliver efficient power consumption with less heat dissipation and longer MTBF (Mean Time Before Failure). No cooling fan is required, which improves system reliability and also reduces power consumption for special thermal requirements. The MIC-3316 is suitable for rugged industrial applications due to its powerful CPU with up to 348MB SDRAM, optional rear I/O support, battery-backup RAM, and two on-board CompactFlash sockets. Other features include: two RS-232/422/485 ports, one 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port, watchdog timer, one DVI-I interface, one PCI-to-PCI bridge drivers up to seven masters, battery-backup 512K RAM, Timer IRQ, supports AC-97 audio, line-in, line-out, MCI-in and has a 2.5” HDD disk bay.
