This board comes with a Socket 479 low power Intel Pentium M and Intel Celeron M processors and integrated the most updated Intel 3100 chipset and built-in a PCI-express interfaces. It makes the platform offered a more reliable and stable processing over previous platforms. The network application board SBC 8A818 fulfills high performance system configuration demands in network applications, industrial server appliances, or other network attachment storage appliances with advanced storage features. Available with six Gigabit Ethernet ports thru an advanced PCI Express interface, the embedded board supports fail-over, load sharing and load balancing functions for critical network environments. Not only the RJ-45 Ethernet connector, this network application board also provided the Mini-GBIC Fiber interface which can be selected upon customer’s requirement. System memory can support up to 4GB of four DDR II DIMM sockets with register and ECC memory. The SBC 8A 818 built-in the most updated Intel 3100 single integrated chipset which is an integrated system controller with an ECC memory solution in combination with high performance, low power processor to enable SBC 8A 818 designs in the storage, wireless, wire-line and security market segments. The board can handle many critical access requirements internally. This network application board supports a LAN-bypass feature for abnormal status. It supports different by-pass levels with this feature such as power, BIOS boot, OS and application program failures. In order to provide the best network performance and best utilization, the SBC 8A 818 has powerful storage interface, multiple SATA-150 channels are easily compatible with embedded Operating Systems and third-party application programs through DOM (Disk on Module) or CompactFlash. One Mini-PCI slot is available for expansion. And one PCI-X 64-bit/133MHz slot is optional for customer’s selection.
