NEWS RELEASE Feb. 14, 2006 National Instruments has expanded NI Developer Suite, the software subscription program that bundles together the software tools needed to build a complete measurement system. The expansion features more of the NI software platform, making it easier for customers to get all the products they need for design, test and control applications, and save money at the same time. The NI Developer Suite subscription program bundles together the most popular NI software at a 20 percent to 60 percent savings for customers. The program offers annual software maintenance with quarterly software updates, add-on software for a variety of applications and elevated access to technical support via phone and e-mail. In addition, subscribers receive a 10 percent discount on NI training courses. The expanded NI Developer Suite comprises almost the entire NI software platform and provides a more modular approach for ordering flexibility. Customers start by purchasing the NI Developer Suite Core Package, which contains all the general-purpose programming tools, such as NI LabVIEW and LabWindows/CVI, and the corresponding toolkits. Then, depending on the project, customers select from any of the application or deployment target options to add on to the core package. These options include Automated Test, Industrial Monitoring and Real-Time and FPGA. With this approach, customers can create an NI Developer Suite system that meets their needs, even if their applications call for a mix of software functionality. The NI software platform spans many different application areas, said Melissa Garrity, NI Developer Suite product manager. NI Developer Suite has expanded into new areas and is the best way for customers to get the software they need for any application. Customers can take advantage of NI Developer Suite benefits and cost savings for more of their software products and have to maintain only one package instead of multiple products.About National InstrumentsFor 30 years, National Instruments has been a technology pioneer and leader in virtual instrumentation a revolutionary concept that has changed the way engineers and scientists in industry, government and academia approach measurement and automation.
