Epsilon to help Bangladeshi ICT company enhance global connectivity

March 19, 2019 – Epsilon was selected by aamra, a Bangladeshi ICT solution and service provider, to enable connectivity into the London Internet Exchange (LINX) and Amsterdam Internet Exchange (AMS-IX) in Europe. aamra can now use the Infiny by Epsilon on-demand connectivity platform to directly access a global ecosystem of Internet Exchanges (IX).
With Epsilon’s IX Connect, aamra can peer in European markets without being physically present at the Internet Exchange Points (IXP). It gains a way to connect Bangladeshi businesses to their end users in Europe, while improving resiliency on their network to deliver an optimised user experience when viewing content or using web-based applications and services.
Epsilon’s IX Connect solution provides on-demand bandwidth access to the IXs in markets from any data centre connected to its global network fabric. Infiny users can interconnect with over 100 data centres in leading global interconnection locations and directly access a growing ecosystem of IXs.
aamra serves 1,600 customers in various industry segments across Bangladesh including Finance, Healthcare, Government, Education, Technology, Telecommunications, Multimedia, Ready-made Garment and Fast-Moving Consumer Goods. In January 2019, the company established a PoP in Interxion Data Centre in Marseille to support the growth of internet traffic between Bangladesh and Europe.
