EPLAN establishes three subsidiaries

July 23, 2014 - With currently over 700 employees, solution provider EPLAN is pushing forward with its expansionary course during the year of its 30th anniversary: new subsidiaries have been founded in Japan and South Africa. Shortly, customers in Turkey will shortly also be able to profit from the direct presence of the CAE special-ist. Until now, the three countries have been supported by co-operation partners.Photo: "Our customers, who are largely active in international circles, profit from our extensive presence in the global market and a uniformly high-quality level with respect to services", explains Haluk Menderes, Managing Director of EPLAN Software & Service.

Monheim, 18th June 2014: EPLAN is pushing forward with its international expansion course: Japan, South Africa and Turkey are the new direct sales locations of the engineering software provider.

At the start of the year, EPLAN Software & Services K.K. was founded with its headquarters in Tokyo. Establish-ment of the branch is progressing with Shinya Nito as Managing Director and Dr. Carsten Metelmann as International Sales Director. This move involves intensive collaboration with sister company Rittal, which has been active on the Japanese market for the last 25 years with system solutions for control cabinet engineering.

Japan is one of the world's largest markets for software and manufacturing industry. EPLAN intends to participate more intensively in the fast-paced development of software-based engineering and at the same time bring its expertise into play in the course of globalization. Within the last year, Mitsubishi Electric has accepted EPLAN into its [email protected] Alliance partner program.

In the beginning of June, the new subsidiary EPLAN Software & Services (Pty) Ltd., started trading in South Africa under the leadership of Managing Director, Johan Reyneke. The office was established in Edenvale, near Johannesburg, and is also a neighbor of Rittal. The EPLAN Platform will be marketed here with its integrative systems for electrical and fluid power engineering, control cabinet engineering and harness design. Gradually, services such as training and consulting will be established and the sales team will be further expanded.

Before the formation of the new subsidiary, EPLAN had been represented in South Africa for ten years by a co-operation partner and was able to continuously expand on its commercial success. The automotive sector offers the greatest potential.

Another subsidiary is being established in Turkey: at the beginning of July 2014, EPLAN Yazılım ve Yazılım Hizmetleri A.S. will commence trading in Istanbul. Under the leadership of Managing Director Özgür Emekli, the team will directly and comprehensively serve the sectors of machine construction and plant construction, through to the automotive industry.

Turkey offers growth potential due to its diverse corpo-rate landscape. The solution provider is anticipating great potential, not only in the classic markets, such as machine construction and plant construction, or the automotive industry, but also in sectors, such as heavy industry and control cabinet engineering.

Double-digit growth rates in our sights

EPLAN's goals are set high: direct access to growth markets is vital if we are to attain double-digit growth rates in international business. "As a manufacturer of engineering solutions, we can market new products and our comprehensive service portfolio better and much more quickly", explains Haluk Menderes, Managing Director of EPLAN Software & Service. But as far as the Managing Director is concerned, that is not the only opportunity: "Our customers, who are largely active in international circles, profit from our extensive presence in the global market and a uniformly high-quality level with respect to services." This ensures that customers receive optimum support, both in process consultancy and in the implementation and application of engineering solutions - even across national borders. Together with Rittal, the strategy called "Rittal - The System." is also being pushed forward on the international mar-ket.Furthermore, the global partnerships with leading providers, such as Phoenix Contact and Festo are also being promoted in these countries.

EPLAN Software & Service develops engineering solutions, which accelerate the product development process. Interdisciplinary expert systems assure the highest degree of productivity and data integration. The solution provider develops customer-specific and tailor-made PDM and PLM concepts and provides comprehensive services such as customizing, consulting and training. Innovative development competence, a consistently practical approach, and international presence are the resulting success factors. EPLAN is part of Rittal International and thus of the Friedhelm Loh Group with 11,500 employees worldwide and generated revenues of about 3 billion USD in 2011. EPLAN is therefore synonymous with continuity and investment security. Eight offices in North America and company presence in 50 countries support 40,000 customers with 100,000 installations worldwide.  The corporate motto - 'Efficient Engineering' - underlines the proficiency of optimized, efficient processes, which keep companies competitive in the long term.
