Raima to supply RDM Workgroup database to ETM

April 16, 2015 - ETM, a subsidiary of Siemens, selected the RDM Workgroup database as a core element of its SIMATIC WinCC SCADA system.
The SIMATIC WinCC Open Architecture forms part of the SIMATIC HMI range and is designed for use in applications requiring a high degree of client-specific adaptability, large and/or complex applications and projects that impose specific system requirements and functions.
The object-oriented SCADA system SIMATIC WinCC Open Architecture allows companies to implement solutions tailored to their specific customers helping save valuable engineering time.
ETM’s solutions are particularly placed in the areas of traffic, water, energy, oil & gas, building automation industry as well as research.
“ETM needed a product with the performance to handle bigger amounts of data with an increased data throughput rate”, explains Steinar Sande, CEO of Raima “RDM Workgroup also provided the necessary platform independence by supporting Windows, Linux and Solaris.”
