April 25, 2014 - AVEVA has made a major increase in its technology development resources in India by opening its second R&D centre in Hyderabad. A key component of AVEVA’s product development strategy, the new centre employs a significant number of new technologists, with plans to add more in the future. The office was formally opened by AVEVA Group Chief Technology Officer, Dave Wheeldon, and Senior Vice President & Country Head, India, Navtej Garewal.
“Our global research & development teams are crucial to maintaining AVEVA’s leadership in technology innovation. With India being one of our most important and fastest growing markets, it makes perfect sense to increase our investment here in both product development and customer support resources,” said Dave Wheeldon, CTO, AVEVA Group. “Opening a second R&D centre in Hyderabad is a key element in our product strategy. We expect both Hyderabad offices to play increasingly important roles as major development centres for AVEVA. Our teams based in India will accelerate the development of new products, support the continual development and maintenance of existing AVEVA products and provide an important resource to support our Indian customers.”
“AVEVA’s presence in India has expanded significantly, becoming a major hub for both product development and solutions delivery,” said Navtej Garewal, Senior Vice President & Country Head, India, AVEVA. “In parallel, AVEVA’s customer base in India has also grown steadily. Opening the second Hyderabad office is a major milestone in AVEVA’s investment in India.”
The new facility is in the prestigious WaveRock SEZ development in Gachibowli, Hyderabad, providing an attractive employment location with excellent global communication links.
