AVEVA announces partnership with Canon to advance smart manufacturing

September 25, 2018 – AVEVA has signed a technology partnership agreement with Canon Inc. to enable the development of new visualisation solutions for factory automation. By combining AVEVA’s industrial automation and information management capabilities with Canon’s imaging technology, the two companies can develop new solutions to facilitate Smart Manufacturing operations.
“Canon aims to realise smart factories, innovative facilities in which production equipment and machinery are connected to a network, with plans to provide a wide range of system solutions that accelerate the automation of factories and improve productivity through the Canon Industrial Imaging Platform,” said Hiroo Edakubo, Deputy Chief Executive of Image Solutions Business Operations, Canon Inc.
