Description

This is a basic fundamental course (4 hours) for Coriolis mass flow technology for maintenance technicians. The class will be primarily classroom presentation, product demonstration, group discussion, and a small amount of hands-on training with working table top units. We will dedicate a half day to Coriolis technology to give a basic understanding of this flow measurement technology. There will be a live installation demonstration on a Process Training Unit (PTU®), which is a full-scale, working process skid with on-line instrumentation and controls, designed to simulate real world operating conditions. Product experts will be on hand to field unique application questions to help solve specific problems.

At the conclusion of the course attendees should be able to:

• Have a basic awareness of the Coriolis measuring principle and understand the strengths and limitations
• Work with instrumentation specialists to specify the best type of mass flow technology for a variety of installations
• Set up and commission Endress+Hauser Promass Coriolis flowmeter.
• Use PC-based software tools to setup Endress+Hauser Promass flowmeter and verify the health of the instrument and its signals
• Diagnose and correct problems associated with Coriolis flow systems

The course will specifically cover:

• Coriolis mass flowmeters
• Endress+Hauser FieldCare Software Tooling
