Magnetarc Welding Process by KUKA Systems
The Magnetarc welding process developed by KUKA Systems is a pressure welding process with an arc that is moved magnetically under shielding gas.



This process can be used to join hollow sections with wall thicknesses of up to 10 mm. Suitable materials are electrically conductive and fusible materials, such as carbon steel or low-alloy steels, free-cutting steels, cast steel and malleable cast iron. This process can also be used for joining combinations of these materials to one another.
