COPA-DATA announces Giuseppe Menin as Industry Manager for Pharmaceutical

September 9, 2019 - COPA-DATA, the independent manufacturer of zenon automation software, has promoted Giuseppe Menin to fill the vacant position of Industry Manager Pharmaceutical. This move is intended to strengthen the efforts by the international software manufacturer to continuously develop its expertise in the pharmaceutical process industry.
Since the late 1980s Giuseppe Menin has worked in a variety of roles in electrical engineering, PLC and CNC system programming, and software development. He has coordinated several R&D projects for automation and the monitoring of machinery. In 2004, he was appointed Area Manager for COPA-DATA Italia, moving on to become regional Industry Manager. In the process, he gained e insight into the special character of the pharmaceutical industry, from the point of view of machine manufacturers, specialized OEMs, and manufacturers of medical products. In addition, this time enabled him to bolster his hands-on knowledge of subjects such as Industry 4.0, OT-IT integration, and the Industrial Internet of Things.
As Industry Manager for Pharmaceuticals, Giuseppe Menin can share his industry expertise with the entire COPA-DATA Group, and will be involved in further development of the zenon Software Platform.
Since 2014, he has been a member of the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) in Italy. As part of the Connected Machines task force for the GAMP Italy Community of Practice, Giuseppe Menin is regularly in contact with engineers at leading pharma companies. He has also recently joined the Pharma 4.0 Special Interest Group at ISPE International, and is in regular contact with international mechanical engineers, pharma companies, and life science industry consultants.
