October 21, 2014 — AAEON announces FWS-2350 network appliance with up to 8 Ethernet ports, two of which are Bypass configurable, providing users with network security for their expanding infrastructures. With built in QuickAssist Crypto Acceleration the FWS-2350 offers the opportunity of enhanced security capabilities. Through the use of this technology, communications are not only encrypted and decrypted in an accelerated manner, they are also provided with a uniform means of direct communication between the built in accelerators and the network application through the highly extensible API and the freely available open source frameworks.

Powered by the C2358 or C2558 processors, Intel’s latest iteration of its Atom processors for Communications, the FWS-2350 is a low power device consuming only 20W in normal operation. The device supports up to 16GB DDR3 RAM, providing users with ample memory for demanding applications. Other expansion options include two USB 2.0 ports and one Mini-PCIe slot.
